Scott Kelly is a World War Two Marine veteran and mob hitman confined to a Tuberculosis Sanatorium suffering from consumption, flashbacks and nightmares from his experiences of The Battle ok Okinawa and a botched hit for Bugsey Siegel.

When his movie actress girlfriend disappears, he bribes his way out of the sanatorium to search for her.

What follows is a frantic search, a manic murder spree, stolen contraband, and a briefcase full of cash.

Well … this book took my right out of my reading slump and it was completely addictive and compelling.

I don’t actually think I have ever read a book before where there was not one character that I disliked. I liked all of the characters in this book and that honestly shocked me, who knew I would feel so fondly of a mob hitman who killed for fun practically. But I did Scott was by far my favourite character. He was written so perfectly, although he was some next thug he had deep issues and you couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.

This book definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering and needing to know what comes next but a hidden theme I found was true love – imagine dying and still needing to find the love of your life. The guy is a saint in my eyes.

I absolutely loved this book, and after seeing Nat the end that this is ONLY semi-fictional I feel the need to look into this deeper.

An absolute amazing book. Thank you so much to Steve and Red Dog Press for supplying me with a copy of this Ebook in exchange for my honest review on this Blog Tour.
