MY RATING – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The greater the evil, the more deadly the game…

When a rapist is found mutilated in a brutal stabbing, Detective Kim Stone and her team are called to bring in to bring a swift resolution. But as further disturbing events come to light, it soon becomes clear that there is someone even more sinister at work.

With the investigation gathering momentum, whilst also trying to expose the secrets of a sick paedophile ring, Kim finds herself in the sights of a lethal individual undertaking their own twisted experiment.

Pitted against a dangerous sociopath who seems to know her ever weakness, for Detective Stone, each move she makes could be deadly. As the body mount starts to mount, Kim will have to dig deeper than ever before to stop the killing. And this time it’s personal.

This series just gets better and better. And I feel it is progressing so well. The first book for me focused on getting to know Kim as a character, her past, what makes her tick.

This book had a lot more action, with a few cases on the go, but for me this book honed in on the intelligence of Kim. Her mind, literally blows mine. How she can just click and know! It’s bloody amazing.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout – it was absolutely amazing, even though it dealt with some hard cases that was upsetting I needed to read on.

I feel so connected to Kim. I can’t stay away from her for to long – if I put the book down I need to get back to it to see how she is cracking on. Where her head is at. Her emotions really came out towards the end of this book and she almost had me in tears.

I can’t wait to see what she gets up to next.
